As a metropolitan university, San Jose State University has established the Center for Community Learning & Leadership (CCLL) in its commitment to "building community through service, learning, and leadership." CCLL's primary function serves to establish and sustain community service-learning partnerships between academic departments-faculty-courses and community organizations-civic programs-schools.
CCLL aims to instill commitment on the part of the University, its faculty-staff-students to working together with civic leaders and community members to strengthen community relations, develop social responsibility and leadership, with the ultimate goal to improve the quality of life of our communities.
REMINDER: Faculty, please report any Serving-Learning classes to your department chair for the College Report of SL Courses. Due by October 21.
